Meet Jenn, The Founder
Jenn is a Pilates instructor, aerialist, and movement enthusiast with decades of experience as a dancer and performer. Her aerial journey began at the age of 20 with a pre-professional aerial and contemporary dance company at the University of Georgia. After a few years performing in Georgia, she moved to sunny Austin, TX, where she continued to develop her craft and train with the renowned Blue Lapis Light.
Jenn’s Pilates practice was born from a personal journey of healing after a severe low back injury. Through reformer and mat Pilates, she discovered the transformative power of movement to build strength, stability, and resilience.
To Jenn, the concept of “Aer Pilates” is extremely special as it fuses the two movement concepts that have taken her to several corners of the world to share.
Jenn’s Education and Pilates Journey
Jenn completed her Pilates reformer and equipment certification in London with the world-renowned Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). At APPI, she absorbed the latest clinical movement knowledge and methods on rehabilitating clients experiencing a variety of pain. Her Balanced Body Mat Certification was completed largely through private sessions with Nanci Patch in Georgetown, TX. Here she learned specialized modifications for the client with low back pain.
In recent years, she taught classes in Melbourne, Australia on a working holiday visa. While in Melbourne, she completed a Barrel and Spine Corrector Certificate in with Polestar Pilates.
Jenn also has years of experience working with women experiencing a variety of changes specific to their pelvic floor, including those present during pre/postpartum and peri/post-menopause. She has obtained her Women’s Health Certificate with APPI to formalize this information.
Her hunger for more knowledge about the body comprehensively led her to obtain her Masters in Sports Therapy from a university in London in 2024. Simultaneously upon completing this degree, Jenn worked in a clinic on a famous corner of London called Hampstead Heath with her original educators at APPI Health Group.
